"Sunkawakan" - To A Racehorse With Broken Ankle
Justin Bush-CrazyHawk (Cetan-witko)

A touching piece of poetry occasionally created by one of our Native friends in Boston

Don't they know that you come
from a strong and noble nation?
What warrior has not seen your bravery in battle,
or your gentle strength as you pull children on the travois?
Do you hear the drums little brother? - we sing in praise of you,
for today our hearts are bad.
Grandmother Earth is weeping for her wounded child.
Your nation crys out from the Plains.
